Held at the Albert Hall in London, HH Dalai Lama refreshingly speaks again on moral ethics and his openness on others' cultures, that everything springs from compassion, loving-kindness and inner peace. My best part here is when he was asked by an audience to hold a 3 minute prayer for world peace, replied that he is more of the action than the prayer.

I guess this was the most interesting part of the Yatra trilogy, maybe because it is all about Tibet, the people, culture, their religion and the panoramic views. Although it still needs a more improved presentation, the teachings and facts are clearly narrated by the director, cinematographer himself ~ John Bush and the immediate relative of the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Choegyal.

Journey into Buddhism: Prajna Earth (2006)

This second series of the Yatra trilogy is better than the first one (Dharma River). With Sharon Stone as the narrator, the teachings and facts of the spots shown in Cambodia, Bali and Java were more comprehensible. The photography too were neatly arranged and more interesting to watch than the first one.

Those little guys there are just too cute...touching and profound. And it was very well narrated by Morgan Freeman.

A fascinating documentary of the 2002 10 days, 10 nights Bodh Gaya pilgrim held every 12 years and a Kalachakra initiation in Graz, Austria done by the Dalai Lama and it is the most interesting show about Tibetan Buddhism, the people, its religiosity, rituals, culture, beliefs, traditions, foods, intricate sand mandala, prayers, mantras, impermanence, emptiness, spectacular landscapes and a few more.

This is the first series of the Yatra trilogy and this documentary is with good teachings for the beginning learners of Buddhism, the photography were of stunning spots from Burma, Thailand and Laos. Overall, this is a poor, disorganized presentation. I fell asleep after a few minutes. So, you know what it means.

There are a lot of good stuff in this book but it actually isn't based or focused on Buddhism, the most important point and the only best part said here is to be a good listener. I do hope the author doesn't come up with another book "If the Buddha Eats Barbecue".

Batman Collection

Bought this collection weeks ago and just had the time to watch it yesterday. Call me crazy but the only Batman movies I've seen are the Batman and Robin & Batman Forever. So, for me who's new to the other series and revisiting the ones I've seen makes me think that it's a great value for the price of $10. And I'll just have to wait again for the newer series to come out in a collection, that is if it does. They say, patience is a virtue.

An all visual and musical, no dialogue or story, you might find this boring but if you can sit still and simply watch for a couple of hours then you'll be immersed and say that it is a visual and auditory feast for the senses and the soul.
